Support: Bethany Hour

The Bethany Hour has been offered (online) since September 2019. There are various ways to participate in the Bethany Hour for priests and priestly vocations.

How can the Bethany Hour be celebrated locally?

To this end, the Friends of Bethany join an existing worship community (e.g., Priests' Thursdays of the Pontifical Work for Vocations/PWB, "Adoration for Vocations," Hour of Mercy) with their intentions. Further worship offerings for Priests' Thursday can be found at GoCath.org.

How can the Bethany Hour be celebrated at home?

The Hour of Bethany can be observed by participating in a virtual worship service (e.g. Live Adoration from Tyburn Convent – see YouTube) at home (online) on Priests’ Thursday.

The only connecting elements for the fellow worshippers at the Bethany Hour are the time and prayer impulses:

• The time chosen should be – if at all possible – the early evening of Priests’ Thursday (7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on every first Thursday of the month).

• The prayer dates are displayed on the homepage of this website in the “Bethany Hour” section.

• There you will also find a link to the text booklet for the Bethany Hour, which is available for download under the "Portfolio" menu item. The adoration prompts are formulated in the spirit of Louise Marguerite Claret de la Touche and emphasize her central concern: the connection between the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the priesthood and the creation of the Bethany atmosphere for priests and priestly vocations.

• Before the final blessing, a prayer should be said for the beatification of Louise Marguerite Claret de la Touche.

The Friends of Bethany hope for committed fellow worshippers.

Support: Challenge 26/33

Louise Marguerite Claret de la Touche lived the Christian virtues to an extraordinary degree and already holds the title of Venerable Servant of God. Beatification now requires at least one verified and recognized miracle that clearly occurred after Louise Marguerite Claret de la Touche's death as a result of her intercession.

During this phase, the initiative of believers is especially important. That's why the Friends of Bethany have launched Challenge 26/33.

Under the "Beatification" menu item, you will find the subsection "Challenge 26/33." There you will learn what the title "Challenge 26/33" means and how you can take advantage of the opportunity to support the beatification process in various ways.
